
If you've been looking around this site for long enough, you've probably noticed a bit of a trend: I love foods that I can switch out ingredients for and eat again and again.
Smoothies & smoothie bowls are a great example of one way that I do that! This is a mixed berry smoothie with banana, granola, and coconut on top, but it's so easy to switch those out for other ingredients to totally change up the taste and texture!
Below I'll list the ingredients I used for this smoothie, plus some tips for changing it up.
Every great smoothie has 3 things: frozen fruit, a banana, and yogurt (if you want to use a spoon) or some kind of liquid (if you want to use a straw). Here, I used a handful of frozen mixed berries, a handful of frozen mango, half of a banana, and a few spoonfuls of this silk almond milk yogurt. Then you blend! I used the other half of my banana, some granola, coconut chips, and a drizzle of honey to top it off.


I love eating this for breakfast, as a snack, or paired with something else for lunch! It's sweet, healthy, and comes together quickly. You can sub out the liquid/yogurt, the fruits, and the toppings for whatever you like best!
Another combo I really love is frozen banana + peanut butter + almond milk + spinach + chocolate protein powder, topped with banana, peanut butter, and some chocolate chips.
For days when I'm craving a green smoothie, I'll blend up a banana with frozen mango, pineapple, and peaches + almond milk + lots of spinach and kale.
The opportunities here are endless!
